I work with high-functioning, self-aware individuals who have tried traditional talk therapy and found it lacking. My clients understand their history — they just haven't been able to break free from it. That's exactly the problem EMDR and integrative counseling are designed to solve.

My background in counseling and nursing gives me a holistic approach to therapy, allowing me a rare ability to understand the mind-body connection in trauma and anxiety. I bring clinical precision and genuine warmth to every session — and a deep respect for your time, your intelligence, and your goals.

My practice is intentionally small. I take on a limited number of clients to ensure each person receives the depth of care and attention they deserve.

What is *EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is one of the most evidence-based, effective treatments for trauma, anxiety, and unresolved emotional pain — backed by decades of clinical research.

EMDR works by activating the brain's natural processing system — the same mechanism that resolves ordinary stress during REM sleep — to help the brain fully process "stuck" traumatic memories that continue to generate distress long after the events themselves have passed.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR does not require you to discuss your experiences in detail or re-live painful memories at length. Instead, through guided bilateral stimulation — typically side-to-side eye movements — the brain is able to complete its natural healing process.

The result is not just intellectual understanding, but a deep, felt sense of resolution. Memories that once felt raw, activating, or shameful become integrated — part of your history, but no longer in control of your present.

Is This Right for You?
For people who are ready to stop being controlled by their past.
  • You are self-aware and psychologically sophisticated — you understand where your struggles come from
  • You've done therapy before and found relief incomplete or temporary
  • Despite your insight, you still get triggered under stress in ways that feel disproportionate
  • You're tired of talking about the same things without experiencing real change
  • You're ready to permanently process trauma and anxiety, not just manage it
  • You want results that last — not ongoing maintenance indefinitely
  • You respect your own time and are motivated to do focused, targeted work
1
History & Treatment Planning We map your history, identify targets, and build a clear roadmap for processing.
2
Preparation & Resourcing You're equipped with stabilization tools before any trauma processing begins.
3
Assessment The target memory is identified along with its associated image, belief, emotion, and body sensation.
4
Desensitization Bilateral stimulation is used to process the memory until its emotional charge is fully reduced.
5
Installation A new, adaptive positive belief is strengthened and linked to the processed memory.
6
Body Scan Any remaining physical tension or disturbance held in the body is identified and cleared.
7
Closure Each session ends with stabilization — you leave grounded, regardless of where processing stands.
8
Reevaluation Progress is reviewed at the next session; the treatment plan is refined as targets are cleared.
